Common workwear fabrics and their characteristics -C&G Safety

图片
In custom work clothes, many companies do not know which fabric to choose. Overalls manufacturers recommended fabrics, purchasing companies do not know what the characteristics of this fabric is not suitable for their own company. For these, we have summed up some commonly used commonweal fabrics, as well as the characteristics of fabrics for your reference. First, uniform, professional wear several kinds of fabrics and features commonly used: Spinning wool: it neat, feel smooth, rich and elastic, straight lines full. Appropriate sewing suits, Zhongshan suit, women's shirt. Pure wool: Fabric formation, soft and natural, color week, less defects, feel flexible and delicate. Tighten the fabric by hand, letting go quickly restored to its original shape, and the crease is not obvious. Wool polyester: the lack of pure wool fabric soft feeling, fabric formation and not easy to wrinkle, and with the polyester content increased significantly. Flexibility is better, but feel less than pure

1, pure cotton sand card: high density of the product line, the introduction of tissue fabrics, clear lines, Kong Gu clearly, the light cloth, good quality, suitable for engineering jackets, Siamese clothing, casual wear, bags, work gloves. 2, polyester card: Fabrics feel more than uniforms have texture, drape and support are very strong, strength and wear resistance are very good, shrinkage is minimal, made of the product appearance is not easy to aliasing, and affordable, durable Good performance. 3, cotton canvas: is a thicker plain plain cloth, high density, feel thick, textured clear, fast and wear-resistant, is a good material for jackets. 4, Poplin: all kinds of poplin fabrics are clean and smooth cloth, detailed texture, grain full, smooth and shiny gloss, soft touch features such as waxy, as summer hand clothing material. 5, dust and anti-static: This fabric is strong and durable, soft and comfortable, hygroscopic breathable, can be processed into a variety of high-grade anti-

Arc Flash Calculation and FPA Methods -C

IEEE 1584-2002 is titled “IEEE Guide for Performing Arc-Flash Hazard Calculations,” and provides a methodology for calculating prospective arc flash hazards. Based on test data, the IEEE 1584 committee developed empirical equations to calculate arc flash incident energy for AC systems. It is important to understand that the IEEE 1584 equations are valid only for the conditions for which test data was evaluated. This is a very professional algorithm, and if you don't know how much arc danger your employees may face, C&G Safety’ s experts are very happy to help you. ARC FLASH PPE GARMENTS -C&G Safety

图片
Hazard Risk Category (HRC) was a term used by NFPA 70E to refer to levels of protection required for various job applications. In the updated 2015 NFPA 70E Standard this term was changed to “Arc Flash PPE” and HRC was removed from the standard. One thing that hasn’t changed is our use of  HRC for arc resistant garments . We will continue to use this familiar term to assist our customers with quickly identifying what level of protection our  PPE clothing  meets. ARC FLASH REQUIRED PPE MINIMUM HRC LEVEL 1 4 cal/cm2 HRC LEVEL 2 8 cal/cm2 HRC LEVEL 3 28 cal/cm2 HRC LEVEL 4 40 cal/cm2 More psl vist: ARC FLASH PPE GARMENTS -C&G Safety : ARC FLASH PPE GARMENTS

What causes an arc fault And Arc-fault protective clothing -C&G Safety

图片
What causes an arc fault? An arc fault  is a high power discharge of electricity between two or more conductors. An arc-fault occurs when loose or corroded connections make intermittent contact and causes sparking or arcing between the connections. This translates into heat, which will break down the insulation of the wire and can be the trigger for an electrical fire. The Basics of Arc-Fault Protection Although new to the NEC, AFCIs are important for protecting against arc faults. Unsafe arc faults can occur as series or parallel arcs. A series arc can occur when the conductor in series with the load breaks. The series configuration means the arc current cannot be greater than the load current the conductor serves. Typically, series arcs don't develop sufficient thermal energy to create a fire. Although new to the NEC, AFCIs are important for protecting against arc faults. More dangerous is the parallel arc fault, which can occur as a short circuit or a ground fault. A short circu

Use and Care of C&G Safety Proximity Fire Aluminized coverall -C&G Safety

图片
Proximity Fire Fighting is a specialized fire fighting operation that can include the activities of rescue, fire suppression, and property conservation at incidents involving fires producing high levels of radiant heat as well as conductive and convective heat. According to National Fire Protection Association Standard NFPA 1971 "Standard on Protective Ensembles for Structural Fire Fighting and Proximity Fire Fighting 2007 edition" examples of fires that commonly produce high levels of radiant heat, as well as convective and conductive heat are bulk flammable liquid fires, bulk flammable gas fires, bulk flammable metal fires, and aircraft fires. It is the ability to reflect high levels of radiant heat that distinguishes Proximity from Structural fire fighting ensembles.  C&G Safety   Aluminized coverall capable of reflecting 95% or this energy away from the fire fighter.  National Fire Protection Association Standard NFPA 1851 "Standard on Selection, Care, and Mainte

The 8 advantages of C&G® Nomex® IIIA flame retardant garments -C&G Safety

图片
01 Unique protective barrier to high temperature and flame When exposed to high temperature continuously, Dupont® Nomex® IIIA fiber will carbonize and get thicker to prevent heat conduction between heat source and body to increase protection and reduce burn injury (See Pic.1). The strong protective barrier will keep soft and tough until the garment cools down. It will provide time for the user to escape. Pic1  It shows that Dupont® Nomex® IIIA garment will carbonize and get thicker when exposed to high temperature and flame. Pic1 The picture shows theoretical thickness According to the assembling procedure of single fabric suggested by ASTM D-4108 Thermal protective performance tests (TPP) 02 Excellent performances in Vertical Burning  Dupont® Nomex® IIIA flame retardant fabric can easily pass Vertical Burning Test (A basic flame retardant test which tests if the fabric will be lighted and burned after being exposed to fire for 12 seconds). Most protective fabric can pass Vertical Burn

Why should we choose C&G arc flash protective garments? -C&G Safety

图片
C&G® arc flash protective garments are made of Dupont® Protera® fabric, which is designed by Dupont® to protect from electric arc. 01 Excellent protection Thermal protection performance, Crack resistance, Antistatic performance Inherent flame resistance comes from the molecular structure of fiber Protera® fiber is inherently flame retardant. Its flame resistance comes from the fiber itself instead of chemical treatment on the surface. Therefore,  Protera® arc flash protective garments  provide permanent protection, and the performance will not be washed out or worn away. Protera® arc flash protective garments neither melt nor burn or support combustion. When exposed to fire, the garments will form a protective barrier between heat resource and the body, which provides people more time to escape. Prevent garments from burst caused by explosion of electric arc As being blended with Dupont® high-strength fiber (This fiber is also used to make bulletproof vest), Protera® arc flash prot
